"Somewhere you went"
Almost exactly 10 years ago, we went to Jamaica for a long weekend. I believe we had decided that this would be our last hoorah before diving into parenthood. We knew our lives would be different (little did we know HOW MUCH different) and this would be our final vacation with just the 2 of us. This picture was taken at Dunn's River Falls, which is basically a mandatory site to see while you're there. And yes, my hair is in corn rows...which may have hurt more than childbirth. (I'm tender headed, leave me alone!)

Weird...our trip to Jamaica was the last vacation we took before I got pregnant. I highly recommend it! But the cornrows? Maybe not so highly recommend. But I do remember my mom came home from a cruise w my dad w her hair in cornrows and I thought she was possibly the most glamourous woman I ever saw....
and while I'm here.... how can you not talk about how you're feeling sitting in those falls!?@? water!!! it's water pouring over you!!! I know there's a story there!
crap, my first comment didn't post...

Courtney's comment reminds me of something Zippy would say ;)
and how did the Cornrow phase not make the post about hair just a few days ago??
The cornrows were a one time thing. I swear those ladies enjoy inflicting pain on virgin scalp. Plus, I forgot to put sunscreen on the exposed skin between rows. Ugh! And, Courtney, just one more reason why I love your mom and know that our souls are connected.
To climb this waterfall, the guide waits for enough people to line up. Everyone has to hold hands as you go up, up, up. Needless to say, my panic kicked in at the thought of having to hold the hand of a stranger, in water, in Jamaica. I pushed our way to front of the line so that I was the first person and Jay was the second leading a group of about 50 people. At one point the guide just sort of grabbed my camera and pushed us to this spot, snapped a shot, threw the camera back at us and did the same down the line. We didn't have much time to pose or protest.
